Incredibly authentic Moroccan experience. We have been here many times and not a single time we were disappointed. Always great food, great taste and joyful experience. The menu is five course. They start with a beautiful soup, mezes, and something sweet before the main course. The finishing touches with tea and dessert. Be ready to eat a lot and mesmerized.

I recently visited Casablanca Restaurant in Kailua, located just off Hoolai Street in the heart of this laid-back windward Oʻahu town. Kailua is often associated with beach culture and casual cafés, so finding a restaurant focused on Moroccan cuisine adds a refreshing layer of international diversity to the local dining scene. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, with décor that reflects North African influences through colors, textiles, and subtle decorative details. The space feels cozy rather than large or flashy, which creates a comfortable setting for a slower-paced meal. It is the kind of restaurant where the ambiance encourages guests to settle in and enjoy the flavors rather than rush through the experience. The menu highlights classic Moroccan dishes that emphasize spices, slow cooking, and layered flavors. Traditional items such as tagines, couscous dishes, and grilled meats showcase the aromatic spice combinations that define Moroccan cooking. The flavors tend to be rich but balanced, with spices like cumin, cinnamon, and saffron creating depth without overwhelming the ingredients. The dishes feel authentic and thoughtfully prepared, offering something different from the more common cuisines found across Oʻahu. Service during the visit felt welcoming and attentive, contributing to the relaxed dining experience. Staff appeared knowledgeable about the menu and comfortable guiding guests through dishes that may be unfamiliar to some diners. From a global travel perspective, Casablanca Restaurant reminded me of the small family-run Moroccan restaurants I have encountered in cities across North Africa and parts of Europe where the emphasis is on hospitality, warm spices, and communal dining traditions.

Casablanca truly left me speechless. From the NYC area, we have a plethora of restaurants to choose from and we eat out a lot. Casablanca would be a if it were in the NYC area…and we’re in Kailua?! An absolutely amazing place from the ambiance, tasteful food, service, authenticity. Can go on and on. This is worth the drive from wherever you might be on Oahu. Don’t miss Casablanca!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this experience. It’s super unique and the food was delicious. The service was awesome. All around a wonderful time, worth the price for the pre fix menu too. The BYOB is also super fun and adds a casual layer to the place. I would only say if you are tall, like some people I went with, the tables are rather short so expect to be cramped or to be sitting criss-cross applesauce.

incredible restaurant in kailua!!! we’ve never had moroccan food before so this experience blew us out of the water. the prix fix menu was generously portioned for 2 and we left feeling super full and satisfied. the owners were so kind and sweet.

Delicious and unique dining experience. Everything made you feel like you were sitting in Morocco enjoying the foods. The mint tea, the lamb and the courses were perfectly spaced and the price is more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. Thank you Casa Blanca, we will be back.

The price fixe meal is well worth the price. You start with lentil soup followed by mezze platter, b’stilla (savory pistacchio, meat filled phyllo pie sprinkled with powdered sugar-to die for!!), Moroccan bread. This is followed by an entree of choice (lamb, fish, Cornish hen dishes) and sweet mint tea and pistacchio biscuits and a honeyed fried funnel cake-like dessert. Don’t forget the ritual hand washing at the start and end of the meal. Combined with a totally Middle Eastern ambience and decor, this is a great place for a special dinner!
