Pretzelmaker (275 W Kaahumanu Ave Ste C3)

I came inside of the store the guy was there working on pretzels and not even looked to me to ask few minutes… I asked for help after 3 minutes and no answer… after 5 minutes I left… he looked to me no friendly attitude just a really bad face… store by queens mall in maui has the worst guest service that I ever saw!!!

I usually don’t leave reviews, but we are big fans of pretzels and this has happened to us more than once. The staff does not have a good attitude. They seem like young employees who are just there to do the job, but they don’t provide friendly service. The last time I ordered cinnamon pretzels, the place was empty and they already had a lot of pretzels made, so they were not fresh. When we tried to eat them, they were extremely hard. I didn’t go back to complain because I was in a rush, so I let it go. Yesterday I went again, and they didn’t even put butter on the pretzels for the sugar to stick. They were very plain. On top of that, the service attitude is not welcoming or from someone who seems happy to be doing their job.

I’ve been coming to this place for quite a few years now. Whenever I’m in Queen K I can’t resist the urge to stop by. But every time I’ve come within the last couple years, I feel the urge to write a review. I’m a reasonable, patient customer. I work in food customer service myself, so I get it. But the service here is inexcusable. They barely acknowledge you when you come in, and I’m lucky if I’m even verbally asked for my order. Usually it’s just an impatient look in my direction, like I’m inconveniencing them by being in their vicinity, let alone asking something from them. I’m not a Karen, I really do try my best to see the workers side in every situation. I’ve dealt with some unkind customers as well as unkind workers. I’ve stayed loyal to many places on island with subpar customer service, because who really cares? But the service here is just awful. I’ve never seen an entire staff that’s this blatantly careless and point blank disrespectful. I’ve been permanently discouraged from ever coming back, no matter how much I like the food. I hope serious changes are made within management or staff.
