Panda Express - Kahului (Puakala Pl)
About
Fast Cravings in Central Maui
When you are navigating the bustle of Puakala Place near the Maui Marketplace, Panda Express serves as a reliable pit stop for familiar flavors. This outpost brings the classic American-Chinese fusion to the heart of Kahului, making it an easy choice for shoppers or locals grabbing a quick lunch between errands.
Signature Wok-Fired Flavors
The scent of ginger and soy greets you at the door, a sharp contrast to the salty trade winds blowing through Kahului. Their signature Orange Chicken remains the perennial favorite here, featuring that familiar crispy texture and tangy-sweet glaze that hits the spot every time. If you prefer a bit of heat, the Kung Pao Chicken offers a crunch of peanuts and a subtle spice kick. Pair these with their fried rice or super greens to round out a balanced meal.
The Local Pulse
Stepping inside, you will find a utilitarian, brightly lit space designed for efficiency. It is built for the grab-and-go crowd, though the dining area offers a spot to recharge your phone and escape the midday sun. Note that because this location is situated in a high-traffic retail hub, the parking lot can get particularly energetic during the weekend rush. Expect a lively, fast-paced environment where the staff moves quickly to keep the line flowing. Whether you are stocking up for a beach day or finishing a long shift, this spot offers a consistent, predictable option in the center of the island.

Quick & Consistent Friday Night Pick-up 🐼🥡 Decided to skip the cooking tonight and we each grabbed a Plate to-go from the Panda Express. George and I usually look for something quick but filling & this location consistently delivers. (Plus I can never finish mine so I’ll have lunch covered for tomorrow too.) What I ordered: • The "Bigger Plate": A solid mix of Chow Mein and Super Greens for the base. For the entrees, I went with the Honey Walnut Shrimp (always a favorite), Kung Pao Chicken for a little kick, and the Honey Sesame Chicken Breast. Everything was fresh and the portions were generous. • The Drink: Always a Mango Guava Flavored Tea. It’s refreshing, not overly sweet, and a great alternative to soda. Service was fast for an "ASAP" order & go. Plus the food stayed hot all the way home. Definitely a reliable spot for a hassle-free dinner in Kahului! Thanks for making dinner:) XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

You can eat chicken while surrounded by wild chickens. But there were no chopsticks and the water was unusually cold. The taste of the items was excellent. Make sure to get to go if you want the standard boxed meal, and not the round, flat plate

I’m a panda guy,all over. Going once a week to any panda near by and on that day I got inside and got their beef broccoli and it was quite good. No wait time,it was served to me at the spot right away. Rice was ordered too and with the soy sauce it was delicious.

Was looking for something quick. I ordered beef & broccoli. I was very happy because it really tasted good. The one close to my house in Arizona I won't eat at.

I have eaten here dine in and take out many times but today I got you experience how they clean the floor and the kitchen! one of the girls just poured the soapy water on the floor and now it's flooding out into the dining room and to mitigate, but failing, they put a bunch of cardboard boxes in the hallway, see the picture below, to try to stop the soapy water from flooding out into the dining room but as you can tell by my picture it's not really working. Very unsafe! A few of the girls slipped walking out to take their break and complained that their socks and shoes were soaked.

Mobile ordered takeout for 12 people. Food wasn’t ready upon arrival, we waited 15 minutes. Everything was loaded into one paper bag that was so heavy my mother couldn’t carry it. And, they didn’t give us utensils or napkins. Food was hot and fresh.

Straightforward Panda Express by Walmart. A little terrible with the drive up when the delivery truck sits in the way. Went inside, plenty of choices, daily freshly cut veggies and samples of their dishes. Fresh and simple. About $10 a person.
