A Quick Pitstop in the Heart of Central Maui

Located right inside the Queen Kaahumanu Center, this Panda Express serves as the go-to spot for shoppers and locals needing a fast, reliable meal while navigating Kahului. The convenience of its location makes it an ideal landing pad for families looking to grab a quick lunch between errands or tourists fueling up before heading toward the airport.

Signature Flavors and Familiar Bites

The kitchen stays true to the brand's classic lineup, with the wok-fired Orange Chicken remaining the undisputed star of the menu. You will catch the unmistakable scent of ginger and soy sauce as you walk toward the food court area. The Honey Walnut Shrimp provides a nice textural contrast with its candied crunch, and the Beijing Beef hits that sweet-and-savory note that defines their quick-service style. Whether you go for a bowl or a full plate with chow mein, the consistency is exactly what you expect.

The Kahului Shopping Center Experience

Eating here comes with the lively, bustling energy of a major island mall. It isn't a place for a quiet, intimate dinner; expect the clatter of trays and the ambient noise of a busy retail hub. One thing to keep in mind is that the food court seating can get quite competitive during the lunch rush, so you might find yourself securing a table a few minutes before grabbing your food. It is efficient, straightforward, and positioned perfectly for those living or working in the central hub of the island.

Honestly disappointed with my experience here. The rice tasted stale and had a weird smell and aftertaste, like it had been sitting out way too long. The beef broccoli and orange chicken were both overwhelmingly salty to the point where it was hard to enjoy either dish. Ironically, the best part of the meal was the dry chow mein — and that’s really not saying much. Panda Express is usually pretty straightforward comfort food but the food I experienced today was not straight nor was it a comfort. I fear that a regular customer will promptly experience a violent case of food poisoning. Just a concern of mine as I cannot stress enough, the food was god awful.

The Filipina worker there has a terrible attitude. She should be fired. Just throwing food around to pick up drivers. Such a bad attitude.

Sitting there yesterday was great. Good chomane and beef with broccoli and steamed rice not fried was wonderful and we loved it. Definitely we’ll come again.

Sadly, there are ZERO Chinese restaurants on this side of the rock. The few good ones we did have, all closed. So shamefully, this is our only option as far as "Chinese cuisine" goes. FOOD: Mushroom Chicken The chunks of chicken are tender, and the mushrooms & zucchini are fresh and cooked perfect. It has a nice subtle savory flavor. Beef Broccoli While it can't compete with my dad's version, this will do in a pinch. The broccoli is usually always crunchy and never overdone, and the beef pretty tender. It has an odd savory taste which I can't pinpoint. I haven't been ordering this lately. Chicken & String Beans Super crunchy beans stir fried with chunks of chicken and onions. A splash of shoyu does the trick for me. Beijing Beef I was surprised at how good this was. I'm guessing it's deep-fried though, as it's texture is similar to the breaded orange chicken. SERVICE: The staff are friendly and service is quick. TIP: On the back of your receipt, follow the instructions to complete a very quick survey online, write down the code and get a 3-item meal for the price of 2 on your next visit!

I really enjoyed their teriyaki chicken and the noodles,it wasn't greasy and oily like in the other branches, also I was surprised that it wasn't too expensive as everything in Maui is.

I’m the spoiled Vancouver foodie, I couldn’t find a good Asian food for 2 days, then I found Panda Express which I never bothered to visit because I know other places. After two days craving for good tasty meals plus lots grilled veggies, I found this place. Mall is outdated but I loved the meal, come visit if you don’t find anything good meals.

Possibly the best Panda Express on all of Maui, and I’ve been to them all. They must have a Michelin star chef in the back bc woooof my orange chic was phenomenal. The service made me feel like a prince. The woman who helped me was friendly, helpful, and an active listener. Make this a destination on your Maui trip. 10000 gold stars
