The service and atmosphere of this place was good. However, the main thing that we went for, was food. We ordered chicken empanada and veggies empanada but it seemed like they were not baked properly. The texture was still doughy, and felt like it needed to be baked a little while longer, which I did, once we went back because the fillings was really good. They were busy, so they missed heating up. The bakery items looked interesting visually, but I haven't tried those.

Momona Bakery & Coffee Shop is a charming spot with a warm atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. The turkey and cheese sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made, while the cheesecake croissant was an absolute standout! It was crispy, buttery, and filled with a rich, creamy cheesecake filling that was hard to resist. The coffee paired perfectly with the pastries, making for a wonderful breakfast or afternoon treat. The only challenge is finding parking, which can be difficult during busy times. Still, the quality of the food and the inviting ambiance make it well worth the effort. Definitely a place I’d visit again!

There’s limited space, but it turns over pretty quickly. You might have to wait a bit—but trust me, this is one of those rare places where the wait is 100% worth it. Don’t bail. We were in Maui for five days… and came here three times. That should tell you everything. Final verdict: Coffee is good, but the croissants are the main characters. Five stars for the flaky perfection alone. If you skip this spot, you’re just not living your best Maui life 🥐✨
