Fuego Argentinean Steak House
About
A Taste of Argentina in the Heart of Kahului
Stepping into Fuego Argentinean Steak House offers a sharp departure from the typical island fare found throughout Maui. The space carries the rustic warmth of a South American parrillada, where the air is thick with the scent of charcoal-seared proteins and the gentle char of chimichurri. This is a place for those who prioritize the integrity of the cut over elaborate garnishes.
The Gaucho Grilling Technique
The kitchen centers its identity on the open flame. You will find their signature approach to grass-fed steaks, where the meat is treated with a respect that mirrors the traditional fireside cooking of the Pampas. The ribeyes and skirt steaks arrive with a deep, salt-crusted exterior, yielding to a tender, ruby-red center. It is an unpretentious setup that relies on high-quality fire and patience rather than complex sauces.
What to Expect
Expect a focused menu that moves quickly. The staff is efficient, navigating the floor with a directness that matches the bold, savory flavors coming off the grill. While the dining room hums with a lively, upbeat energy, it can get quite brisk during the dinner rush. Pro tip: keep an eye on the side dishes; the roasted root vegetables often carry a smoke-kissed finish that pairs perfectly with the house-made red wine reductions. Because the seating layout is intimate, you will likely find yourself sharing the ambient chatter of neighboring tables, which adds to the communal, lively feel of an Argentine dinner service. It is a solid choice for a high-protein dinner after a long day of navigating the nearby business districts or before catching a late flight out of the central Maui hub.

First time enjoying their dinner. Our waiter was spectacular explaining everything about what the restaurant offers. If you enjoy seafood, these items are a must try: lobster dip and the Mar Mix Grill (great for two people), but if your hungry this meal is for you. Then to top the night try the pan queues Leche with vanilla icecream. ❤️😋

We stopped to eat here after a round of golf at the Dunes, and oh my gosh. One of the best meals we had on the island. We got a few different steak plates with sides and it was truly incredible. Flavors were great, meats were delicious and juicy. Drinks were delightful. And Jorge our server was amazing. Must go in Maui! Especially for golfers! Beautiful views of the mountains too.

Beautiful view, excellent food, and truly wonderful service. As a gluten-free family, dining out can sometimes be challenging, but our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable about which items were gluten-free and what could be modified safely. Because of their expertise and attentiveness, we felt completely comfortable and confident eating here. It made for such an enjoyable and stress-free experience. We will definitely be back!

I went back after some time and I can say that the food is still great!!! I ordered milanesa napolitana and rabas. Delicious, you can taste argentina in the plate. I also ordered FERNET! 🥹 Happy to know that they are serving fernet Branca now, which, of course, makes any fernet drinker very happy!!! ☺️. FUEGO, always recommended!!! 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

Let’s start with the location. This place is amazing. Great views. Great location. The Mountain View is just spectacular. Now the service. The staff was super friendly. Our waiter was great. We were sat immediately. We sat right next to the gold course on comfortable chairs. He kept checking on us and made a great recommendation on wine. By the way, the prices are very reasonable. This is hard to say in any restaurant in Maui. When I came here, I was expecting to pay a ton. Now the food. We came for appetizers before our flight, so my information is limited. We ordered wine, empanadas and the meat and cheese plate. The wine was great. The empanadas were good to great. And the portions were substantial. Our disappointment was the meat and cheese plate. It lacked presentation and variety. It looked like something any guy could make at home. I know that applies to most cheese plates, but this should have nuts, honey, maybe some spreads. I’m not sure. But I can tell you that the location and staff make up for it. I will be back.

This was a very nice little dinner spot! It was quiet but with beautiful views outside on the balcony. The food was wonderful & everyone there was so nice. We kind of stumbled upon it not knowing what to expect and we really enjoyed everything!

Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Portion to Price: 3/5 Overall: Good selection of meats though pretty standard fare. The extended review... Food: 3/5 - We got a bunch of things to share ranging from calamari to sweetbreads to rack of lamb. All were pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service Ambiance: 4/5 - Definitely a nice ambiance of indoor and outdoor. Portion to Price: 3/5 - On the pricier side for Maui but pretty standard I'd say.

The steaks are juicy and cooked to your liking. I asked for medium and it was so delicious! The gratin potatoes and broccoli were great sides to go with my picaña steak. My husband had the seafood pasta. He really liked it. We had the Affogato for dessert. It's vanilla ice-cream served with a shot of espresso. We had Eric as our server and he was very attentive without being bothersome.
