About
A Neighborhood Favorite for Fresh Catch in Aiea
Tucked away in the heart of Aiea, Sushi Spot has become a reliable staple for those craving high-quality seafood without the pretense of high-end Waikiki dining. The space is modest and utilitarian, focusing entirely on the craft of the roll rather than fancy décor. When you step inside, you are greeted by the sharp, clean scent of vinegared rice and the rhythmic sound of knives hitting wooden cutting boards.
Sashimi That Speaks for Itself
This local hole-in-the-wall prides itself on sourcing fresh fish that holds up against any top-tier sushi bar on Oahu. The menu focuses on traditional nigiri and signature maki rolls that balance texture and heat. Regulars often opt for the spicy ahi creations, which utilize locally sourced tuna that is buttery, firm, and never mushy. You will notice that the portions are generous, reflecting the no-nonsense spirit of Aiea's culinary scene.
A Local Dining Quirk
Be prepared for a bit of a challenge when finding a spot to park during the busy lunch hour, as the lot fills up quickly with nearby office workers grabbing their midday fix. The interior can get quite loud during peak times, as the acoustics favor the energetic chatter of diners enjoying their meals. It is the kind of place where the staff remembers your face if you visit often enough, making it a perfect spot for a casual, no-frills dinner after a day spent running errands around Central Oahu.

Yes, it’s really that good. As for the Rolls, Titanic and Red Dragon are a MUST TRY - if you like your sushi swimming in sauce, you will want to ask for a little extra. Overall, Fresh food. Modest establishment. Big flavor. Say less.

I’ve dined in and done take out. They’re usually busy for dinner time and it’s limited seating so come early or you can wait. The staff is friendly and it’s quaint inside. I like the free miso soup they bring before your food, and there’s plenty of options to choose from. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. The rolls are huge and well worth the price! I highly recommend the spicy ahi, titanic, SOS, and SMT roll. One of my new favorite spots!

This place is a gem. The fish is SO fresh and yummy. Generous portions with affordable prices. Very kind and attentive service. We are from Minneapolis, Minnesota and look forward to visiting the Sushi Spot every time we’re on Oahu.
