Siam Kitchen Express
About
A Taste of Thailand in the Heart of Aiea
When the craving for authentic Thai spices hits while navigating the busy thoroughfares of Central Oahu, Siam Kitchen Express offers a straightforward, no-nonsense escape. This unassuming spot is a favorite for those who prioritize bold, fiery flavors over white-tablecloth pretense. The air inside is consistently thick with the savory, sharp aroma of stir-fried holy basil and the hum of a busy kitchen that doesn't stop moving.
Signature Spice and Quick Service
The menu leans heavily into comfort food staples. Their Pad Kee Mao—or drunken noodles—is the standout, featuring wide, chewy rice noodles tossed in a sauce that balances intense heat with a subtle sweetness. It is common to see local workers grabbing takeout boxes during the lunch rush, as the kitchen operates with a frantic, rhythmic efficiency that is impressive to watch from the counter.
The Local Experience
If you are planning to dine in, keep in mind that space is limited. The seating area is functional, keeping the focus entirely on the plate rather than the decor. It is a fantastic choice for a casual weeknight meal when you want high-quality curry without the wait times of a formal sit-down restaurant. While the parking lot can get tight during peak hours, the reward of a fragrant, piping-hot green curry makes the minor logistical challenge well worth the effort. For anyone traversing the Aiea area looking for an honest, scratch-made meal that packs a punch, this kitchen is a reliable local staple.

Great tasting authentic Thai food. We saw Mostly locals here. Satay chicken was amazing, Thai chicken fried rice tasted great as well, veggie spring rolls are the crunchiest we’ve had before. Friendly service as well.

Great place for Thai food. Had the basil chili chicken. Delicious, good portions. Fast and friendly service. Came back for another meal. I would describe the place as tropical Thai restaurant. Had the Pad Thai, chicken wings, and pineapple Fried rice. Very large serving, freshly made, great taste. One of the best Thai places on the island. Go check them out.

Small Thai place close to Pearl Harbor memorial. The lady who served us was very courteous and accommodated our vegetarian and vegan dietary restrictions. Service time was pretty quick and food tasted good. Reasonable price compared to Honolulu or Waikiki. Parking was a bit hard to find since it is a part of crowded Asian market place. Exterior is filled with Asian food shops if interested in shopping. Must try Thai iced tea. We liked it so much we even took one to-go.
