Koa Pancake House (99-115 Aiea Heights Dr Ste 256)
About
A Morning Staple Above the Pearl Harbor Basin
Tucked away in the Aiea Heights area, this breakfast spot serves as a reliable fuel station for locals heading toward the H1 or up to the lush trails nearby. If you find yourself navigating the winding corridors of the Aiea shopping center, you’ll likely catch the unmistakable scent of griddled batter and brewing Kona blend coffee before you even spot the sign.
Island-Style Comfort on a Plate
The kitchen specializes in the kind of no-frills, satisfying breakfast food that defines Oahu’s casual morning culture. Their signature Portuguese sausage omelets and fluffy, golden macadamia nut pancakes are staples here. You won't find white tablecloths; instead, expect the energetic clatter of silverware and the hum of neighborhood chatter. It is the ideal stop for hikers gearing up for the Aiea Loop Trail or commuters looking for a hearty plate lunch alternative before the workday begins.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
The space is functional and efficient, though it can get quite lively and loud during the weekend rush. Parking within the complex requires a bit of patience as the lot transitions between morning shoppers and office workers, so give yourself an extra five minutes to find a spot. Whether you are craving a side of crispy hash browns or a generous portion of Spam-infused breakfast classics, the food arrives hot and consistently hits the mark for a straightforward, local-style start to your day in Central Oahu.

Food tastes almost as good as Koa's known for, but the portions are miniscule. Ordered the mahi mahi and it looked like a quarter of a small fish. Tables were barren. Staff didn't give enough napkins for 1 per person, let alone anyone making a mess. Avoid this location.

Very much a locals restaurant, but not intimidating for tourists. It's located on the second level, which can be hard to find depending on the level you enter. You order first, then they bring the food out. Seems like they have a good mix of breakfast options, so everyone should be able to find something to eat. I ordered eggs, corned beef hash, and pancakes. It came out pretty quick. It's served pretty bare bones on paper plates. It was kind of disappointing that they used fake butter to serve with the pancakes, but they were huge. The overall rating of 3 stars is mostly due to the service and atmosphere. You're presented with a tip option before you even sit, and they only come to your table once to deliver food. The two questions I had (cup for water and syrup), the waitress just pointed. So I'm not sure what the tip is for.

Generous Portions and Homestyle cooking at a great affordable price! Extremely Friendly service, highly recommended😎 We had the Trio & Eggs along with a short stack of the macadamia nut pancakes. Make sure to get extra coconut sauce for them, so amazing!
