About
Interactive Dining in the Heart of Aiea
Stepping into this Moanalua Road establishment feels like entering a communal celebration of food. Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu House transforms dinner into an activity, where individual induction burners at every seat turn tables into personal kitchens. The air is thick with the savory, aromatic steam of bubbling broths, creating a lively environment where the clinking of ladles and the murmur of conversation take center stage.
Custom Bowls, Personal Control
The core of the experience here is the sheer variety found at the dipping sauce bar. You have total creative freedom to mix shoyu, garlic, chili oil, and sesame paste to create a signature flavor profile that perfectly complements your choice of thinly sliced meats or fresh, crisp vegetables. It is a fantastic spot for groups who want to linger over their meal; the rotating conveyor belt delivery system adds a kinetic energy to the room that keeps everyone engaged.
What to Expect
While the food is the main draw, be prepared for the characteristic hustle of a popular Pearlridge-area eatery. The space can get quite busy during dinner service, and the energetic, bustling environment means it is better suited for animated group dinners rather than quiet, intimate whispers. If you find yourself craving a customizable, hands-on meal while exploring the local shops nearby, this spot delivers a satisfying and communal feast that hits the mark every time.

This place was so overpriced and such a letdown. It was over eighty dollars just for 2 people. The food was very bland and not good. Also, they add-on a 15% automatic gratuity when you're not even being served by humans. You cook the food yourself so there is literally no service. We will not be back. I could have made a better hot pot at home and I will do that next time. Such a letdown. They also need a health inspection. Their floors were covered in old food and nastiness. My baby dropped her toy in the floor under the seat, and it was so gross in the floor that I didn't even want to touch it, so we just left it. I've never seen such gross floor in a restaurant 🤢🤢

So disappointed in this place. Tried it for the first time and everything was so bland. Also, they add on a 15%service charge for 2 people when you aren't receiving any service. All they do is bring you a pot and you cook and serve yourself. Cup ramen would have been better. I'll never go here again. Waste of money! $80+ for just 2 people. 🙄

I had the lamb and pork meats with the plain original broth. The meat selections were fresh, especially the lamb, which had a rich flavor that paired perfectly with the simplicity of the broth. The original broth was light but flavorful enough to let the meats shine, creating a great base to build on with sauces and vegetables. It was a satisfying, no-fuss experience that hit the spot for a cozy, comforting meal.
