Great hole little old style restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food was amazing and would definitely bring family and friends who are visiting if they want to eat somewhere other than a chain restaurant.

I love this hidden gem! We didn’t know what to expect and it exceeded our expectations and more. The staff is friendly and welcoming! If you’re going to the Pearl Harbor exhibit drop by here for lunch!

We stopped by for a really late lunch after Pearl Harbor Memorial and a need to try Saimin. Long story short, the food was incredible. I ordered the Fried Saimin with Garlic chicken (a must try!) and my friends ordered plate lunches. We all enjoyed our meal and if possible, would definitely be back.

Place was friendly, fast, and delicious! We ordered outside and basically by the time we walked back to go in our food was ready. The Pancake breakfast is a very good value and perfect for kids! I got the 49er burrito and it was HUGE! My sons got the Chicken and Waffles. No complaints we will definitely visit again!

Located right off Kamehameha highway and Honomanu street, Forty Niner Restaurant has been a staple since 1947. Two brothers returned from World War II after serving in Italy and France and opened up this restaurant. They serve local style food ranging from breakfast options to all the local favorites. Ordered the taro sweetbread french toast with lilikoi butter and whipped cream, veggie omelette, Da Hash Loco Moco, and banana french toast and they were all delicious! The dirt sauce on Da Hash Loco Moco was good but towards the end, it became too much. Ask for the dirty sauce on the side. The banana french toast came with two halves of a whole banana in skin and topped cinnamon sugar and caramelized. The french toast had a lot of whatever spice they used so it didn't fit our pallete however overall was good. Taro sweet bread french toast was delicious. Nice and light with a touch of citrus from the lilikoi butter. There is also outdoor and indoor seating available but most people just order and take out. Free parking gravel lot in the back with ample spots for parking. There are bathroom faculties on site as well.

Really enjoyed their ube waffles. I really liked how they give you a slice of actual ube. Definitely recommend. I'll go back whenever I'm back in Hawaii to try their burritos cause it sounds like a massive amount of food!

49er diner has been a pleasant surprise on our trip to Oahu. We’ve been to tons of diners and drive ins, this place feels just as much of a local spot as you can get. Prices are fair and foods great. Ordered (1x) “49er breakfast” Portuguese sausage, 2 eggs, a fried rice plate and (1x) of the Mac nut pancakes. Split the plates with the wife and I and the total was ~$21.00. Everything was amazing, food super filling, and staff was friendly. Ordered via the app, they have QR codes on the tables for easy service.

You must visit this nostalgic restaurant in Aiea! It’s known for local favorites like Loco Moco, Saimin, and Burgers. I really love the breakfast menu and Da Original Loco Moco is a must try for me. There’s outdoor and a few indoor tables available in the back. The outstanding service provided by Hailey is a plus with her beautiful nails intact.

Had the 49ers Breakfast Burrito and the Lemon Riccotta Pancakes. Beautiful, delicious and most importantly, so incredibly filling. My family also ordered the Chorizo Hash, an Adobo omelette, Pork Chop, and a couple Loco Mocos, to which their only complaint was, "too much rice" haha. Safe to say everyone left well fed. Would definitely come back again <3

Local as it gets ♡ so many good options to chose from, my favorite go to after a beach day is the egg burger, DELISH (no pic bc I eat it too fast lol ..don't get me started with breakfast, SO ONO!! Great staff & atmosphere with inside or outside dining & take out available.
