Five Guys (98-1005 Moanalua Road)

It was clean but that was the best of it! My milkshake took what felt like hours to come out probably more like 45 minutes it was a good milkshake but instead of getting a salted caramel milkshake I got a plain vanilla. But at that point all hope was LOST! It took them super long to get to orders! Overall if you can find a better five guys!

I love Five Guys…burgers made anyway you want it and the fries are just too good for words. So you can imagine my excitement when it came time to treat myself to a burger made my way. The guy who took my order was fast, friendly, and polite. The disappointment came when I watched the cook walk to the back of the store with his gloves on, did not change them assembled my burger buns with the toppings, put one hand in his pocket (same gloves) while waiting for the burgers to finish cooking. Walk to the back again, came out never change gloves and finished making my burger with the same gloves. I’m not the type of person to make a scene and I should have asked to speak to the manager however there were three other people working and none of the seemed to notice anything wrong. This is Hawaii so you don’t make a scene. I just thank them through my disappointment and left with my contaminated $24 burger and fries. (The burger was contaminated not the fries, another employee put on new gloves and bagged the fries) I know this is long but there’s a message in this…safe food handling practices saves lives. I hope that the manager reads this and implements training and change. If you have ever gotten sick after eating at a restaurant you will understand why I took the time to leave this review. Not for free food, not to get the cook in trouble, or get my money back. It’s to raise awareness about safe food handling practices in your establishment. Thank you.

Nice burger place in the SC. Service was prompt, and our number was called quickly. Milkshakes were tasty. Good sized serve of fries. Better than your average burger bar. Seats inside or out. (I am not used to cleaning the table myself. No table service. Soda machine broken. There were no 🥜)

I expected perfect execution of everything especially at these outrageous prices, it didn't happen! The fries were way over salted, the milkshake was not completely thickened and was runny like milk , so had to ask for a remake. The burger was good, no issues there. No complimentary cups available for water, and it's ridiculous that they want charge for cups too.

I didn't find it as good as I expected. The hamburger was tasty, and the fries were excellent. However, I was disappointed that they didn't provide peanuts. Not sure if it's just this particular store... It's one of the most famous burger places in America. Unlike the New York locations, the Hawaii branch didn't have peanuts when I visited, but this might need confirmation. The burgers are tasty and the portions are decent. However, I don't think they surpass Teddy's Burger, another famous handmade burger spot in Hawaii. Since it's a franchise, it's worth a visit if you're looking for a familiar taste.
