A Slice of Aiea Tradition

Stepping into Anna Miller's is like hitting the pause button on the frantic pace of Pearlridge Center. This Aiea staple has served as a reliable hub for local comfort food for decades, maintaining a distinct mid-century diner aesthetic that feels both familiar and timeless. You will hear the constant clinking of silverware against ceramic plates and the hum of a busy kitchen, punctuated by the occasional shout of a server navigating the bustling floor.

Famous Pies and Hearty Plates

While the menu covers the gamut of diner classics, the true draw remains the expansive selection of pies. The fresh strawberry pie, glistening with a vibrant red glaze and piled high with whipped cream, is the undisputed star here. If you prefer something savory, their fried chicken and hearty stews are designed to satisfy after a long day. The portions are generous, often requiring a to-go box for those who prioritize saving room for dessert.

What to Expect

The layout is traditional, with a mix of cozy booths and counter seating that offers a prime view of the staff working the soda fountain. It is the kind of place where you might notice the table next to you has been holding a weekly breakfast meeting for the last twenty years. Keep in mind that the coffee is bottomless and flows freely, though the service can get snappy and hurried during the morning rush. Parking in the surrounding complex can be a bit of a maze, so leave yourself an extra ten minutes to find a spot before you settle in for your slice of local history.

Anna Miller is one of those classic places you go for comfort food. It's been in the same location for as long as I can remember going there with my family. The food is tasty. Unlike many places in Hawaii, the portions here feed 1 person only. And that can be a good thing. The waitresses are friendly. But the wait time to be seated can be lengthy as the lines get long on the weekends. The wait for food is also lengthy as well .

A great local "mom and pop" style restaurant. We always make it a point to eat here when in town. Just good cooking at a reasonable price served by friendly staff. The pies are worth the visit. The are the best. Check it out. Back again. Still as good as ever. Did the chocolate cream pie. Delicious!

Solid food, reasonable rates but not as good as a few years back. Lol might be more than a few years now come to think of it. Service is always prompt and friendly. Hilda kept my iced tea full always and checked on us twice without being intrusive. Had the blueberry pancake special, it had two pancakes but the blueberries tasted fresh and juicy, and the pancakes had a nice texture, cooked perfectly. Partner had eggs Benedict the flavor was great but the bread was tough. We were too full for pie which you really should do at Anna Miller's.

It's a nice little coffee shop/diner. It's a good place to have brunch, hang out and talk stories. We like their farmers breakfast. There are so many options to choose from. They also have really good pies! Their prices have gone up, but where hasn't it gone up? The food value is still there. They used to be open 24/7 before COVID. I kind of miss that. Oahu used to be a 24 hour town in terms of restaurants and entertainment. At least this place is still open. This is the only Anna Miller restaurant left in the world, IIRC. There used to be more of them.

I had the daily special of two blueberry pancakes. They had maple & coconut flavored syrups. The pancakes were very reasonably priced considering they are likely 30-40%+ blueberries by volume. They also have a nice kona blend coffee & there was cream on the table. I had an enjoyable meal & would like to visit again.

Anna Miller’s Restaurant is a classic, cute mom and pop spot that never disappoints. We were impressed by how quickly the food came out after we ordered, making for a smooth and efficient dining experience. I ordered the three egg omelette, and it was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked and very satisfying. Of course, you can't leave without having dessert, and the strawberry haupia pie was the perfect finish to the meal. Whether you are grabbing a slice while you're there or taking a whole pie home, their bakery counter is a must. High-quality comfort food and legendary pies, I can’t recommend this place enough!

I will just say that we had amazing service once we got seated and served by our waitress. She was great. We had to wait about 30mins to get a table, definitely not worth the wait as the food is just meh. The food was not very good, probably the worst Benedict eggs i’ve had. Maybe it’s the way they make them here, but it was flat, and like cook all the way through. I would not go there to eat again but if you like that type of blend Americanize type if food, it’s the place for you.

Its a cute diner. I had a nice waitress who came around often to serve coffee. Food is not exceptional but very good. It was a good thing we got 2 different Benedict to share..... because the salmon Benedict was so thin and needed more flavors. The avocado tomatoes Benedict was perfect match for the salmon. I wish they had add-on option for Benedict.... well I wish that for every restaurant. We got seated right away at 10am on Tuesday. But this place was crowded the whole time we were there. This restaurant was comfortable and didn't make me feel rush to get out...maybe because waitress keep serving coffee. I absolutely love their seasonal fresh strawberry pie. That's exceptionally excellent!
